Worship this Week: 

This week we begin a two week special stewardship program that’s titled Be A Good Manag-er Of God’s Temple and is directly connected with this year’s Worship Renewal emphasis. In addition to being faithful managers of our Time, Talents and Treasures, we also want to manage well God’s Temple. This week’s Bible readings are: Genesis 12:1-9, 1 Corinthians 14:26-33 & Mark 1:21-28. Holy Communion will be celebrated, and through it may we be strengthened be faithfully manage all God’s blessings s to us! 

Sunday’s Spiritual Growth Highlights:

Here is our schedule for the Bible Classes for all ages (children, teens & adults) between the Sunday services.

  • Sunday JAM: Samson’s Capture & Death 
  • Teens: School Issues—”Who are you calling a monkey?” (creation/evolution debate) 
  • Adult Class #1: The Augsburg Confession: Article 2 & 21: Man’s only Mediator 
  • Adult Class #2: “Life’s Big Questions” (Bible Information Class) We will learn about Ho-ly Communion in lesson #6, “Will God really forgive me?”. 

Highlight For This Week

St Peter School NewsAn informational meeting for kindergarten next year at our St Peter Lutheran School will be held this Mon-day at 6:30 pm. For more information please contact the school office. Many are the blessings of Christian education! 

Marriage Takes Work - Our annual pre-marriage and marriage enrichment seminar will be held on Saturday, February 14, from 9:00-1:00 pm. Though mainly intended for couples planning a future wedding, we do welcome married couples to come for a re-fresher and to share their experiences! So that we have enough food and materials please RSVP to Pastor Mahnke or through th e church office. … A WELS Marriage Enrichment and Get-Away Weekend is coming to Wausau next month. It will be held Feb 20-22 at the Jefferson Street Inn. Space is limited, so register soon. Brochures are in the Information Center, and one is also attached.
