Worship This Week:

This Sunday is the Fourteenth after Pentecost and our worship theme will be “The Church Stands Forever”. Our Bible lessons are: Exodus 6:2-8; Psalm 34; Romans 11:33-36 & Matthew 16:13-20. Holy Communion will be celebrated to bring us the personal assurance of forgiveness and to help us, as members of the Church, to stand forever in saving faith. As part of St Peter’s Worship Renewal, we urge all members to make a special effort to worship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sunday’s Spiritual Growth Highlights:

Last Sunday we began between services the fall schedule of Bible Classes for all ages and we were pleased to see so many participate. Pastor Davidson is teaching an adult Bible class onworship. This week’s lesson will focus on corporate worship and how what we believe drives our practice. Pastor Mahnke is teaching for adults the same Bible story that is being taught at Sunday JAM. This week’s lesson: Moses is born.

Highlights For This Week

News About Sunday “JAM” - We begin another great year of Sunday JAM (“Jesus And Me”) for children ages 3 and up last Sunday. We had 37 children so we give thanks to God. Parents, if you didn't bring your child last week it’s certainly not too late. Sunday JAM begins in the church @ 9:10 am.

Make Music To The Lord—This week our choirs (Senior Choir Praise Team, Handbells, HIS Choir, etc) began their rehearsalsand practices. New participants are always welcome. This week’s service folder has details. We especiallyencourage people to be part of our “Praise Team” that helps lead our church in the singing of contemporary music.

Help For Managing Your Blessings—Another Dave Ramsey “Financial Peace University” (FPU) will be offered at Key toLife beginning this Sunday, September 14, 6:00-7:30 pm.
